कार्टून

कार्टून का अर्थ है कोई भी हास्य या मनोरंजक चित्र। कार्टून फ़िल्म एक चलचित्र (सिनेमा, या उसका हिस्सा) होता है, जो एक कार्टून-चित्रों के सिलसिले को लगातार फ़ोटोग्राफ़ी करके बनाया जाता है। हर चित्र अपने पिछले वाले से थोड़ा अलग हरकत या चाल चित्रित करता है, जिससे कि हमारी आँखों को ये चित्र चलते-फ़िरते नज़र आते हैं, जब उनको इसी सिलसिले में प्रोजेक्ट किया जाता है। कार्टून फ़िल्में मनोरंजन का अच्छा साधन हैं, ख़ास तौर पर बच्चों के लिये। कुछ टीवी चैनल सिर्फ़ कार्टूनों के लिये ही बने हैं, जैसे कार्टून नेटवर्क।
Indian cartoon
In India, Cartoon Network is available in four languages: English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The channel carries a number of popular animated shows mainly from the WB vault and the Cartoon Network Studios.
Cartoon Network never aired the original English version of some shows in India, such as Chowder, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and My Gym Partner's a Monkey. Even on the English feed of the channel, these shows were broadcast in Hindi. There was no official reason provided by the channel for this move.
